Be patient, find one that suits your mechanical abilities or wallet size. Safety first before performance as boring as that may sound. Purchasing an car is emotional buy but with the age of our cars, be mindful most will need parts thrown at them. So using good judgement over the emotional high at first sight is critical. Look at the camaro info on the home page if you haven't done so already, and then just spend time looking around and the ideas will come. Good luck

Welcome bro! Start with the muffler. It will seem faster. No BS. If you have the cash, look for a new engine. Rebuild the old one or buy a good used one. Rear end gears make a difference too,

Read REad Read - and then use the
function - everything possible that can be done has been done to a 3rd gen, and it's all on this board somewhere - you just have to find it.

What speed mods will depend on what you start with. Choosing parts for an '82 LG4 will be very different from choosing parts for a '92 L98.
First, set some goals for this build.
Second, find a car that's never been seriously crashed, and has no structural rust.
Third, let us know your goals, and show us your starting point. Then we can give helpful advice.
