not to long ago i started noticing good sized oil spots..so yesterday i got under there..cleaned everything up and started it and the leak, which took some time to finally find, wasnt coming out of the pan like i thought, but from distributer..is that even possible? ive never heard of anything like that, i know it drives the oil pump, i tighted the bolt down as much as i could it seemed to stop it or slow it down alot at least.

while i was under there i took of the shield do that fly wheel and torque converter, theres a nice sounding. quick tick sound right there, real fast..sign of tranny goin bad? or something else

my check engine light came on again and is showing the mat sensor.(manifold air temp) it went off about 2 months ago and i replaced the sensor and it was fine up until yesterday.

any help is appreicated

Yes that is possible. You need to pull the dizzy and replace the O ring.
