Ok, i tuned up the car and got it running nicely, put in a new air cleaner I capped off the vacuum line and im waiting on my new hose to run from the crankcase emissions to the air cleaner. The car is definately running better however its surging at idle. I did some research and disconnected the TPS, still hunts for an idle. I disconnected the MAP harness and boom it idles fine and doesnt sound raspy. So i sprinted to the auto part store got a new MAP sensor put it in and still idling poorly. I disconnected the harness and it starts idling good again, then i disconnected the vacuum hose and left the harness plugged in, it is now still idling well. From my diagram im seeing that line runs to the TBI unit, i figure i should rebuild my TBI unit as a part of the tune up any way and for 25$ i cant go wrong. I just want to make sure this kit is the right one (http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...&keyword=10902). Tomorrow I will also make sure that the vacuum line isnt leaking dry rotted or unplugged. Am i heading in the right direction?
