THE OTHER DAY I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND IT JUST LOCKED UP WHILE I WAS DRIVING SO I PULLED OVR TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND IT WOULDN'T START BACK UP,MY CAR IS A V8 IT'S STICK SHIFT,I CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS AND FUSES BUT THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM,IT FEELS LIKE IT WANTS TO START BUT IT WON'T START AT ALL,I'M THINKING MY FUEL PUMP IS GETTING NO POWER,IDK I NEED HELP

 

Can you hear the fuel pump prime for about 2 seconds when you turn the key on? If so, then pump is probably ok.

How long since a fuel filter change? Takes about 20 minutes and cost $10.

Might also try replacing the ignition module located in the distributor under the rotor, about $40.

 

Like he said you can hear a buzz if the fuel pumps kicking over, and you might also wanna tell us a lil more on what this engine is. I am making a geuss, its Tbi? Since some tell me nothing more than a factory 305 is in front of those sticks. And 91 350 didnt come with the Tbi so thats my geusstimate. So ill throw some maybes at ya. Your engine just locks up? Some cases, fuel pump, fuel filter, could be maybe a fuel pump kick off switch.. Might wanna see if the knock sensors holding it from running. Might check your TBI see if any fuels spraying.

Pour a LITTLE gas down the TBI.

If it starts, then dies, you have a fuel delivery problem.
