valve noise?help please
i have a 91 305 in my camaro all carbed no computer.automatic.vortec style heads
give it anything over 3000rpm it chatters sounds like little wind up monkey with tamborine in my motor im sure its in the valves because its in the passanger side only, and accelerates with the motor.its drivin me nuts,im afraid to take it over 3k thinking ima bend a pushrod
valve float?
worn valve guides?
timing advancing to far under throttle?
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Re: valve noise?help please
Is it a regular higher pitched ticking (valvetrain, exhaust leak), regular lower pitched knocking, (bottom end), or irregular marbles-in-a-can (pinging/detonation)? Winging the throttle in neutral, or only under load? Got a video?

Re: valve noise?help please
At a guess, valvetrain or exhaust seems most likely. Given it's temp related, might be a header gasket cracking open a hair once the manifold gets hot - are the bolts tight?
Check lifter preloads, perhaps one's opened up, or a stuck lifter. Or maybe a worn out valve spring, causing very early valve float. Can you isolate where the noise comes from?
