1992 TPI Camaro 305 to 350

Im changing from the 305 to a 350 L-98 vette motor . I know where the knock sensor is located. no problem there. Im not sure about the prom.Is it in the computer? Do I have to pull the computer out? Where is the computer in the car? Also where do I find a 350 prom for a 1992 camaro? If I put headers on will that mess up the computer? Who or where do I find someone to burn a chip?or should I just buy a performance chip? I hope someone can help me out here thanks, Dave

The computer is under the dash on the passenger side. Take off the panel below the dash and its in a plastic holder. The prom is inside, you'll have to pull the computer down and at that point you might as well unplug the 3 connectors and take it out of the car to make things much easier. There's an access panel held on with two screws, take that out and you can remove the prom.

For a chip, I think pcmforless.com burns new chips. Or you can go to moates.net and get equipment to burn/program chips yourself. Most of the stock programming is available on the moates site for download, so you could burn your own chip with stock programming, and then if you want to make changes down the road if you add headers or anything else you'd be able to do that.

Don't forget, you will need 22 lb injectors too for a 350. Headers wont bother the computer either.
