Cloyes timing chain set doesnt fit???
Its part number 9-3145......its going on a ZZ4 shortblock with the LT4 hot cam. The cam sprocket hits the engine and I am not grinding at a new block.....WTF. Is that the right part number? Sckoggin Dickey is being an A S S and they wont return it for me. I have been on the phone with them for 2 days and each time they blow me off and say I am doing something wrong. WTF....... I had a Summit brand double roller on the stock L98 block and it worked fine. I tried it on the ZZ4 block and its fine. You can see a difference on the backspacing on the gear between the two sets. I thought Sckoggin ******** had a good rep........well I aint ordering from them again...I ordered the d a m n ZZ4 shortblock and another $500 worth of other stuff alone with the block and they are giving me s h i t about an $80 timing set.

I had the same problem. I had already ground the block where the 3 bosses stick out above the cam & then it pulled the cam too far forward. After returning the thing, I found out about a shim kit, don't know if it will work, I didn't try it.

I use the Cloyes True Dual Roller on my 305. Got it from Jegs, PN: 220-9-3145.....(SB-Chevy With Factory Roller Cam 87-90)
When I was putting mine on I thought it was going to rub too. So I put some anti-seize on the heads of the cam retainer bolts to check for clearance. Sure enough it cleared just fine, there was no anti-seize on the sprocket.
