Axle/Gears: not enough, good enough

I have a thread in the TPI forums that hasn't generated much buzz.

I can't seem to figure out what exactly is troubling my car, and have tested/replaced just about everything. I even got an ALDU1 datalogger from Moates to see what exactly is going on in the ecm, like maybe a bad wire/relay/intermittent problem that has only thrown a code 44 once so far (Lean 02 reading).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been working on the car for way too long, and am about to have it towed to a shop. Help me figure this out.
