Just a couple of days ago I replaced my ECM, ever since I have done that my car has been making a terrible high pitch squeal while on the throttle, but when I hit the brake, even if its just a little bit. The noise will stop completely, with this I dont think its a belt issue. The car can also not run for very long I'd say about 30 minutes before it begins to DRASTICALLY lose throttle response and stall out. I am wondering if this has to do with a vacuum leak I may have some where? Also when I replaced my ECM it was evident that burning was taking place around the rotor.

 

did you replace the ECM (engine control module / main computer) or the ICM (ignition control module)?

 

Oh my mistake, it was the ICM.

 

i think the issue is with your brakes since it stops completely when you depress the brake pedal even slightly. loose pad rubbing the rotor?
