Anyone ever used 194/160 305 heads on stock 305 bore
Re: Anyone ever used 194/160 305 heads on stock 305 bore
They had better be very well located, with almost zero core and machining shift. Do the math - 1.94 + 1.60 + 0.020 for each perimeter (if you can even get the valves that close together in the stock center distance of the valve stems) barely fits in a 305 bore.
Even if they fit and everything clears, you're likely to encounter some shrouding complications. Unless you need to use those heads in your application you might want to investigate other options. Some older Ford and Pontiac valves are close to the correct stem length and offer different head diameters, like 1.90 and 1.58, etc.

just do a 1.94 / 1.50 combo. Fits much better
