Weird A/C, no air out of the vents question

So I got this 1985 trans am. It got 305tpi with auto transmission. Took the car for an engine rebuild (A/C worked great before that) so I came and got the car, checked the ac and it wasnt working, Ive tried to tell the shop owner that it was working before I dropped the car off but he was denying everything and telling me that they dont mess with the AC parts, so after 2 hours of them trying to fix it and arguing I got tired and took the car. So now when i turn the air I can hear the fan starting to spin and I can barely feel some air coming in from the vents. What can prevent the air to blow out of the vents?

When you turn the fan on, does air blow out the top defrost vent, regardless of the position of the selector? If yes, most likely cause is that the vacuum hose from the engine to the A/C control was reconnected incorrectly.

Just checked and yes air comes out from defrost vents no matter the position of the selector, where is the A/C hose located?

don't get confused.

it's a thin plastic vacuum line which comes out of the firewall and needs a vacuum source. it's probably tucked under something. Ever time I mess with my timing I end up disconnecting mine by accident, hop in the car, throw on the A/C and then slap myself on the forehead and go under the hood and reconnect it.

In other words, the source is near the distributor where it might need to be connected. it's probably supposed to be connected to a T adapter so look for a T which has nothing conencted to it.

Ive checked those vac connectors out and sure enough there were sitting very loose, easily pulled them out with no resistance, now gotta get some zip ties or something to tie them up nicely there. Thank you for the help. 1 problem down, 999 more to go, off to creating a new thread about my crazy idle problem.
