L98 Starting up idle problems??

I have a 350 L98 TPI camaro which after i had the head gaskets changed because they blew on me im starting to have a idling problem. Every time i turn on the car the idle is very jumpy it wont stay steady at all. After i drive it for around 3 miles then everything goes perfect and idles great and steady. Can i be a vaccum leak??? Anything?? but recently for the last 3 days now when i first turn the car on cold now it will start and die and start and die. I know of carb camaros doing that but not tpi. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Check your coolant temp sensor. You can ohm the sensor itself - should be approximately 3500 ohms at 68-70 deg F. If you have a scan tool to connect to the ECM you can check the voltage and temp reading when the engine is cold. If you don't I recommend getting one; most auto parts stores sell them and you can get them online from Amazon, eBay, etc.
Hope that helps!
