Hello this is my first post here and I am new to this form. I have a 1988 GTA all stock its a 5.0 tpi. I am getting code 36. can someone plz help and tell me if its a miss in the spark plug wires, or somthing eles.

Code 36 is for the mass air flow sensor, those might have burn off relays, known to go bad. A scanner would be a great help in fixing codes relating to the maf sensor.

 

I dont have a scanner how can you tell if its bad? when I unplug mine engine stalls,, any help..

and also would it cause my motor to run rough when its waems up, to a point hat it will stall and not start for about 2 hours?
