Oil pressure sensor/swtich

I have an 84 trans am with a 350 swap that someone did a poor job on with electronics. The oil pressure gauge in the car sits as high as it can go (past 60) continously except for 5 minutes where it seemed to work about a week ago. Where would the oil pressure sensor be on a 77 350 block? I know the oil filter is under the car right next to the pan, im guessing it would be around there? Also, do I need to change the entire setup or just the switch?

Stock location is the top of the block near the distributor.

Top is the EGR valve, bottom is the distributor.

That's the vacuum advance pod. What you want is on the rear of the motor on the driver's side.

A 350 sits no closer to the firewall than any other engine in a thirdgen.

Re: Oil pressure sensor/swtich

Im probably just use to my old torino engine bay still. I found the oil sensor but does this plug go to part of the wiring for it?
