Strange TPS Sensor Readings
Got my car hooked up to Tunerpro RT to start doings some real time analysis of my engine. I've been getting a severe bog when I flip the throttle to 1/2 or greater from idle.....
After I got everything set up and connected to the ALDL connector I was happy to see all the data available in the 32B definition.
all the numbers seemed reasonable except for the TPS Sensor.
Closed was fine.. about .60.... The voltage would go up steadily as I pushed th epedal up to 1.3V. THis was at about 1/4 Throttle.
I got no increase at all past that. all the way to the floor. Still 1.3 Volts....
So I figured I had a bad TPS. Went and picked up a new TPS sensor, Installed it... Dialed Idle voltage to .55 and tried it again...
Exact same results.
Rises smoothly to 1.33, then nothing more after that.
Unfortunately, my Multimeter experienced a cataclysmic failure a little while back (who would of thunk it wouldnt withstand being run over?) and my new one hasnt arrived yet. Hoping to see it in the mail today.
Anything else I can check without a meter? Just aldl 32B stream? There doesnt seem to be much info available on 32b... I'll be upgrading to a 6E bin in the near future.
Once I get the meter, I'll check for 5v at the sensor. But if that was low, wouldnt the whole spectrum be off?
Thanks
EDIT: MultiMeter showed up. Reading .54 to 4.18 at the ECM. Definition Bug?

Re: Strange TPS Sensor Readings
since the tps is new should be fine. might want to do a ohm sweep. check your timing and ohm your injectors and check fuel pressure.

Now that I have the new meter, ohming the injectors is next on the list. I also picked up a fuel pressure tester kit as well, so that will be in short order as well.

Re: Strange TPS Sensor Readings
If you check the fuel pressure and the injectors ohm out okay, I would check the fuel pump relay and if the relay is good try hooking up to a new/remanufactured ECM to see if you get any change. Could be as simple as a bad ECM which these cars are notorious for!
