86 TPI Not Firing
I have a 86 TPI Setup , Painless wiring harness.
Fuel Pressure 42lbs.
Spark is good.
Symptoms
Car Started up for a few days , now doesn't stay running at idle.
Motor will fire some cylnders like it sounds like it wants to run.
Tryed spraying brake cleaner into plenum , engine went on fire.
Sparkplugs are wet.
Ideas
Sensor.
Spark is firing wrong time with piston position , leaving sparkplugs wet and cylnder full of fuel. (Sometimes backfire)
Possible Distributor is 180 out.

Make sure you have the correct firing order and wire position on the distributor. It's easy to install them one post off. Verify base timing as well.

What will tell the ECU to kill the motor after few seconds of running.
Motor Runs for 2seconds then dies, Will start after letting sit for few minutes, otherwise just cranks over.

Answer : Distributor. Erratic Spark.
The spark was weak, so i switched to another coil. Orange Spark , to Blue Spark.
The Spark was still Erratic but now strong, leaves ignition module.
