any suggestions, battery not charging..

86 Iroc 305tpi.. yes more problems. just recently would have bad cold starts, mis firing, smelled rich. replace the plugs to a delco rapid fire, in a hotter heat range. now it runs great! except the alternators putting out 10v in car, perfect off car, and in another iroc. last time that happend i replaced the starter in a unrelated issue, and it solved the charging issue, now its back to putting out 10v. any suggestions.. tired of this car now.

Pull the alternator and take it to a parts shop... they'll be able to test it and tell you if the regulator is gone or if the whole thing is bad.

i work at a parts place, it tests good, put into another iroc as well, came out good. possibly the wire that runs to the starter? since last time i replaced the starter the old nut on there vibrated loose, tightend it up befor, made it work.
