1999 Firebird, 3.8 #6 cylinder misfire
1999 pontiac Firebird 3.8 V6, 150k miles, seemed like one of the cyliders wasnt firing when you tried to accelerate, initially no check engine light came on, tested and got #6 cylinder misfire, had some corrosion on the wires so changed wires and plugs, changed the coil (tried more than one to make sure coil i changed wasnt bad), fuel injectors were also changed and electronics for FI check ok, no vacuum leaks, changed computer, checked cylinder compression (is 160 psi) after each thing was tested/changed car was checked and still had #6 cylinder misfire, one thing I noticed is some corrosion where the coil hooks up so possibly not getting a good ground.
I thought after checking all this that it might be an internal problem, possibly the CAM, but was told that if it was the CAM then I would not have gotten good compression on that cylinder.
Anyone know what might be the issue?
Thanks in advance for any help/ideas.
