Steel Tube on Starter Wires
Steel Tube on Starter Wires
I am putting my car back together. It is a carbed 350 going into a carbed 305 vehicle. It was apart when I got it, so I didnt know how some pieces were mounted.
How is the steel tube on the starter wires mounted to car/starter/block? Can you include a pic or drawing for me?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Steel Tube on Starter Wires
Had this off last spring when I replaced my 700R4 auto transmission with a manual T5. The tube has a tab on one end that fits under one of the bell housing bolts with the tube running toward the starter connections. The tube is meant to control the wire run so they don't melt on the nearby exhaust pipe.

Right: one BH bolt, and the outer screw that holds the solenoid to the nose piece.
