Is it my starter?
Ok here's the deal. I think my starter may be going bad. I tested it at work and here are the results.
Beginning Volts 12.55
Ending Volts 9.96
Est. Draw 340 amps
From this it seems I need to replace my starter. Could anyone tell me if these readings are anywhere near spec or if I'm right and need to replace my starter. Thanks

It seems borderline, but it may not be the problem. You might want to check cabling resistance, terminals ...etc. if you don't find anything that doesn't meet specs then replace the starter.

Have you recently done any major engine work with your car? An engine problem can sometime cause an extra current draw while trying to start.

Re: Is it my starter?
No. Nothing that would effect it like this. I do know that it has a Duralast battery from autozone, and having worked there I know how prone the newer duralast batteries are to this kind of issue. The battery keeps testing good and so does the alternator so I just figured I'd look a little further into the starter.
