alm L98 heads on LB9

I hear mixed views on the valves not clearing the bore. I need to know asap be4 I buy them a guy wants 350 for them or should I spend it on my heads and get them worked. Not trying to hear that 350 crap please help let's end it here with facts

You take alittle hit on compression.
Your 87 intake has a different intake bolt angle, so you'll have to grind the holes or get a different intake.
The valves should clear, they never came w/ big valves in those heads.

88 vette heads and the 305 and the alm l98 heads chambers are the same size 58 cc so no lost in cr help please

The valves will clear,but at that price I'd want to see reciepts from a current rebuild.$350 is a good buy if they are fresh,but if you had to go through them,you'd be better off buying new.

It should bolt up fine, but the lower base center bolt holes may need angled out alittle. I believe 87-up camaro/fbody stuff has 72 deg angled center bolt holes while the vettes used all 90 deg. Not a big deal, just dremel tool around the hole to oval it out.
Also, vettes dont get EGR from the head, they get it from the header tubes. So you wont beable to run EGR unless you did the vette style.

With slightly larger valve and better port design, they should flow abit more and be capable of making abit more power over stock 305 heads.
