Coolant Temp Sensor Wire (bought a new one)
So I just bought a new sensor and my wire just arrived in the mail.
Where does this wire connect to?
:THIS IS NOT THE EXACT ONE: But it looks similar.
http://www.auto-parts-online.com/pro...ctor-s649.html
So where would those two wires go, I need to know so I can solder them.
A picture would be great.
Thanks.
Oh, im only asking because I cant find it and I looked all over. When I got the car the whole entire sensor was broken off.

I have a manual too, I just have no idea how to read a wiring diagram. Probably should of paid attention in small engines and electricity :P

Bump =/
I'm all set up and ready to solder lol From what I can see there is only one wire that is not connected to anything and its broken. Its connected to that whole cluster that connects to my starter, but like I said.. one wire not two.
If anyone can I would appreciate the help, thanks.

yellow wire is CTS feed to ECM
So you might have to open up the pass side harness running past the injectors to the TPS /IAC to find broken end of other wire

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor Wire (bought a new one)
The wire I found goes to a broken pigtail. The wire I purchased has two wires going into a pigtail..
this is a bit hard to explain, I will take pics tomorrow.

Disregard what I said above
You forgot to mention WHAT ENGINE you are working on when asking the question

ESP doesn't work well on the forum

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor Wire (bought a new one)
So how by you stating that you have a 305 w/ TPI heads; are we to know you have a TBI engine??????
TPI heads = TPI intake in most cases
Like I said the more info you give when asking a question ;
the better your chance of getting something useful back and not ******g guys like me off who spent time
looking up correct details for you ;that you were too lazy or unable to to research yourself ( info was available online )
only to find it was for the WRONG engine

Ok.
1. I'm definitely not here to fight with you.
2. I changed my info because I obviously wrote it wrong. Yes a little misleading but all you would of had to say is " You do realize you didn't put TBI over there in your info right"? Then I would have said "Oh, damn thanks for pointing that out ill change it right now"!
3. No need for this childish bickering, I'm here to get my car fixed because I know this forum is full of knowledgeable people.
4. Don't be so ignorant to assume I didn't research it. Do you want me to copy and paste my history. I did research, online, my car and my manual. Do you want to know why I couldn't find anything? Because I just found out it was a alternate fan switch, which apparently I don't need because the previous owners installed an aftermarket fan which comes on when I turn my key to accessory.
5. Even know you talked to me like I was STUPID making everything big and red I still kept my composure and held my respect in hope all this crap would have got me an answer from you, But you just continue to insult me.
6. I'm sorry I wasted your time searching for the wrong engine. I guess I wasted my time too by searching for the wrong part. I've been doing it for 3 days in my manual, on the internet, and through out my car. So in all honesty I guess were even because I know you didn't spend 3 days looking for this info. If you did, then wow. I really appreciate you going above and beyond for me like that.
7. I'm not writing this to be disrespectful, It's not what I intended at all. Just wanted a straight forward answer not to be told that I'm stupid indirectly.
Here is a link to the post where I got help, Although I took pictures this time so it was a bit easier to identify.

Once again, sorry for the confusion, sorry for wasting your time, I'm sure it won't happen again because I changed my info to the left as you can see.
Thanks for at least taking the time out of your life to search, even if it was for the wrong engine at least you tried.

Wait, what do you mean TPI heads = TPI intake? The whole top half of my block is TPI or are you saying that's why you got confused because usually TPI heads mean a TPI engine.
I can see your confusion :P I really didn't intend to do it, so don't hate me to much :0

Have to allow for the dumb **** factor here,we know nothing about you or your car unless you state otherwise.
Could be 16 with 1st car , could be 60 YO mechanic IDK
Common to get one line " my car won't start what is wrong?" questions so getting info to sove problem is like pulling teeth.
I enjoy helping people solve their problems; especially the outta left field ones that are more of a challenge;
but the other person has to do their bit
