needs to place order tonight!
ready to but the cam for my 400 and im just a couple clicks away form buying a comp cams extreme energy xe256h .447"- .454" 256 - 268 1000 - 5200rpm and im just wondering if i can use stock valve springs with this cam
i dont have heads picked yet but im wondering generally if stock heads can handle this much lift thanks!

No you cannot use stock springs with an aggressive aftermarket cam like that...
There's more to what makes a spring work or not work, than just the peak lift #. Problem with stock springs is, nowhere near enough tension to control the motion of hte valve and keep it from bouncing off of everything as it gets slubg wildly around by those STEEP lobes.
Yes stock heads can usually accomdate that much lift however.
