The engine can outpower the brakes.

Re: Quick Question

On my ride I use a line lock and it is great for getting the meats hot and sticky. It locks up the front brakes while releasing the rear.

A line lock is a device that's pretty much only used by drag racers specifically to do burnouts. Uses a special setup that you splice into the brake system hydraulics and it basically makes the front brakes lock up and doesnt affect the rear brakes at all. It's nice, but unnecessary for most of us regular guys. If you spend a lot of time racing at the track it's a good idea to have one though.

You'll wear out your tires more than your brakes doing burnouts. You have brakes on each tire.

Re: Quick Question

Even in a V6, dropping the clutch often is a good way to ruin the transmission and rear end. A line lock is something that would clamp the front calipers only, allowing the rears to still spin freely. If you are just driving around trying to spin your tires, you're just begging for a ticket.

Re: Quick Question

Go to the mall and find an open side of the parking lot around 8pm. Cut the wheel hard to the left and floor it. Then after about 2 circles turn hard right and repeat. Then immediatly get the hell outta there before the fuzz come. Try this a few times and you'll be a pro by the end of the night.

LOL just kidding

Be careful on the street though. The rear end will kick out and you'll lose it if you go too fast around a corner. Please don't kill yourself.
