Re: CAI instalation
I would think little to nothing. The dual snorkel will be all new stuff forward of the bellows directly in front of the throttle body.
If you want to open up the existing single snorkel system for a little more power (and a nice bump in intake roar when you get on it) just drill out the rivets that hold the plastic intake silencer "nose" on the outside of the air filter housing/canister. On a V6 it necks down to a TEENY-TINY little opening- probably not much bigger than a quarter. There are 4 rivets holding it on. Drill them out and it falls right off.
I went the extra step to roll the metal lip around the opening wider after removing that plastic "nose". I also installed a K&N filter in the stock housing.
I'm not going to tell you I picked up 20HP or anything like that but it picked up a little. And it's bark was definitely more satisfying when I laid into it.

Re: CAI instalation
I linked up some pics and explinations on your other thread. If you have anymore questions ask me and ill help ya. Its really easy, and its not a huge preformance gain, as Hp is hard to gain on a 3.1L, else then serious mods, but that intake does help, and looks alot better then the stock air filter assembly.
100 pennys equal a dollar, so every little bit adds up when you start off with a measly 140Hp... Keep at it on the car and youll wake the engine up in time.

Re: CAI instalation
Some people like it, others dont. Personally I dont use it, I just change oil every 3k miles or 3 months. Ive put 80K miles on my camaro since Ive bought it, and when I tore the engine down, the internals looked great, no gunk and no wear on the bearings..exc.
So its a personal preference I guess.
