Phantom stall.

Hey guys. My 89 iroc with a 350 tpi has a phantom stall sometimes. It does it when I first start it up when its cold. Hasnt done it when hot or after it sits for a little while. Only when it sits overnight and the engine is cold. It doesnt do it everytime. I can start it and after about 5 seconds, it stalls for no reason. It will start right back up and it might do it again then might not. The most its ever done it in a row is 3 times before it stayed running on its own. I started it yesterday and it ran for 3 or 4 minutes and out of nowhere, it stalled. First time its done it like that. Started right back up and stayed running for the duration till I shut it down. This only happens when sitting and not driving or moving. I going to work on it this weekend and hopefully get a chance to look at this problem. Got new springs and shocks and struts to put on it first. Planning on hooking up my scanner to see if there is any codes and look at the datastream to see if theres vaccum leaks or something. Does anyone think a mass airflow sensor problem could cause this? Thanks guys.
