Removing battery resets IAC? (car dies on idle)
I had to remove my battery last night and put it on charge and when I put it back in this morning the car would start but die immediately unless I gave it gas, basically it would die as soon as it idles but will run fine when actually driving. The car ran perfectly on idle before I took the battery out so I don't think it could be leaks in the vacuum hose or bad fuel injectors. I did read about on another thread that if you take the battery out it resets the IAC computer and you have to drive the car around for a while and then park it to reprogram the computer, is that true? another thing I did was take the fuse out for the fuel injectors and I'm not sure if it blew but even if it did I have no idea if it could cause this problem.
