87 Iroc stalling out. Need a little advice.
Well the darn thing stalls out every once in awhile whenever I put it into a gear such as reverse or drive. I checked the voltage on the TPS and it was around .5
Should I swap in another TPS?
And another thing...it only seems to do this when its hot. Today is the first day of real heat around here..so I took it for a little drive and I stalled 4 times trying to get out of a gas station
Could that mean MAF maybe or intake heat?

I hooked 3 leads up and started measuring voltage. I had it set on .5v
BUT
After it cranks and gets into idle it starts reading this.
.5
.49
.47
.46
.44
and so on until it gets low enough that it stalls. So I am replacing everything that deals with the TPS including the wiring.

Hey, my cars doing pretty much the same thing i believe. It wasnt running at all and my dad and I switched out all the spark plugs and turned the distributor up and it was running fine. Drove it to school today though and whenever i'd come to a complete stop the rpms would slowly drop and eventually stall out then have trouble restarting.
We were thinking first to put a new distributor cap on, but your ideas sound good to, we're also going to check the rest of the timing and if the fuels running too lean. Let us know how your fixes go! Any help you get might carry over to mine.
Good luck!
