exhaust leak or rocker arms?

ok, car is a 91' 350 tpi, been hearing a ticking sound and engine running rougher. Misadjusted rockers or header/exhaust gasket leak? Its so hard to tell. I had to burn a new chip lately cause my performance went downhill, all i did was lean out the Ve tables below 2800 rpm and it ran better and power came back. Ticking sound is faint but acceleration is still a bit rough during part throttle driving. Anyone have any ideas?

You need to get a three or four foot piece of hose a piece of garden hose will do. With the engine running and emergency brake on pop the hood and put one end of the hose to your ear.Now use the other end to listen around the motor and headers watch out for the fan. This might help you isolate the ticking.
