Feul Tank
I have removed the Fuel tank as part of my full on restoration. Got a lot of gas in there which has been there for 2 years plus so need to get that out. My question is how do I get the gas out of the tank. I tried turning it upside down but as suspected that did not work. Must be a safety mechanism that stops the gas leaking out if the car is overturned. Tried to get a hose in through the spout but that did not work either. So how can I get it out?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: Feul Tank
There's a baffle in there to prevent siphoning. Some here found a smaller 1/4 inch hose can get through but I never was successful with that method. Drop the tank, remove the sender assembly and drain.

Remove the sender assembly, how do I do that. Do I try to pry out the circular retaining ring around the sender with a screw driver? Are these tanks sealed so will removing the sender brake the seal or whatever else they used to seal the tank.
Thanks.
Thanks.
