AN fitting size -5??

I am doing a modification on my fuel system so I am going to convert my old 3/8 fuel line and the 5/16 fuel line to AN. and run hoses from the firewall to the fuel rails.

I have bought a flaring tool so I have that in hand. Now it is time for buying the fitting and I can find everything except the size -5 in AN fitting. Are there actually anything called AN -5?? Or do I have to run a size smaller (or bigger) to get my lines converted. I can only find AN -4, -6, -8 and so on...

Would have been nice if there is the size -5 somewhere because that fits correctly to the 5/16 return line.

-5 fittings exist but are a little uncommon. Use a -5 tube nut and sleeve and a -5 to -6 adapter with -6 hose.

Re: AN fitting size -5??

Remember that to flare the tube for AN fittings you need a 37 degree flare tool, not the much more common 45.
