Almost got it going. Wiring Help.
Heres my problem.
My car wont start.
I Bypassed VATS with the resistors
I have spark
There is no power to the neutral safety switch when i turn the key.
(checked the two thick wires)
There is also no power going to the purple wire on the starter when i turn the key.(the starter is good)
Then I bypassed starter/vats relay....
I have a wire going from thick wire to the other thick one.
BUT when i do this my car Cranks & Acts like it wants to start but doesnt fire up
Would buying the bloody ignition lock cylinder fix this...haha
I am lost and I know theres a puzzle piece missing here

Ok near as I can make out here you simply put a bypass on a circuit, my question to you, is did you bypass the vats system, or the ignition system, vats doesn't just disable cranking, it also disables fuel, so say for example you bypassed the ignition circuit to not include the vats, so that you could get power coming to the ignition lock cylinder, which then sends it through the NSS when you go to crank, and if the NSS is in the closed position, on to the starter solenoid.
So basically sounds to me like you bypassed the ignition proponent of vats, but not the fuel circuit, so even though you got it cranking, its still disabling the fuel.

i understand more now thanks!
So yeah i did bypass only the ignition.
So what are my options?
bypass the whole VATS?
is it possible to bypass the fuel circuit?

The resistors should have bypassed the fuel enable part of VATS if you did it right.
Why did you take VATS out in the 1st place ????
No you didn't because VATS has nothing to do with the Ign; only the fuel injectors and starter
Buy this device ( other more expensive ones available )
http://www.bakerelectronix.com/products_vats/
to give the correct fuel enable signal to the computer
or get a new prom programmed for VATS delete
