How much does an enguine weigh approximately

Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: TH200C
How much does an enguine weigh approximately
I have been trying to source an engine stand for a 2.8 V6 engine. Most of what I have seen will hold 1000LB's. But don't know how much the engine weighs. What does a standard V8 weigh, a V6 would be two less cylinders so should be 3/4's of weight approximately.
Anyone hazard a guess.

an iron headed SBC is around 575lb. An iron headed BBC is around 685lb which is among the heaviest V8s so your little 2.8 will fit on any stand under the sun.
