Oil pressure gauge observation
Durning my weekly LT start-up, I noticed that when I switched off the engine, the oil pressure gauge needle crept down slowly almost in a slight "bouncy" fashion.
When I turned the key to the run position, all the gauges immediately went back to zero which is normal. Started the car and gauges were operating normally. Turned the car off, and the oil pressure gauge did the same thing.
Now, the gauge itself is obviously working fine if it goes back to zero right away when placed in the run position and registers the oil pressure.
Has anyone else noticed this happening on their cars? And is it safe to say it's time for a new oil sensor.

Re: Oil pressure gauge observation
It's not a sensor issue. When the car is shut off, there is no power to the gauge's stepper motor. Sometimes they return to zero, sometimes they stay where they were, and sometimes they stop somewhere in between. I would say all is operating normally.
