Trouble help!

Hi I'm new to the form I just picked up a 1988 iroc z with a Fule injected 350 motor swap. That's where the problem starts the previous owner scabed the two wiring harnesses together. I am having a hard time just figuring out what Motor they used I have looked every where but no one I can find has the right code. The code on the front pass right in front of the head under the altinator is v0818xhk the code on the driverside rear behind the head is sgiho94 or sgth094 so any help or if I'm looking in the wrong place let me know.

Re: Trouble help!

well for starters how sure are you that the motor was swapped? and if it was what what was in it before.
im fairly certian that an '88 IROCZ came with a 350 TPI (tuned port injection). or at least a 305 TPI or even TBI.

engine talk aside, what exactly is your problem? no start? running bad?

Re: Trouble help!

It came with the 5.7l tuned port. By the intake and injection it looks like a lt motor but not sure.

Re: Trouble help!

well if u want to compare the engine in my car has the factory tpi intake on it, there should be a few pics of it on my profile, if you intake looks like that (minus the runners painted green), then its the tuned port (gen 1 block), if its not as tall and more streamlined then you have the LT (gen 2 block).
its also common for some people swap in a new LS motor, in witch case the entire wireing would have to be swaped as well as the PCM
if you could upload a picture of yours it would be helpful.
