hey buddies,

finally im able to enjoy this wonderful south florida weather since i put in a new pump, filter, and tank to my 88 bird..

so heres the thing, it is beginning to sputter a bit and every now and then when i punch the accel, the ces comes on briefly, then turns off.

today i let it idle and it turned off. i immediately checked for any codes by jumping it, and got 43.

tomorrow i plan on disconnecting the esc to see if it makes any difference.. but is there anything else i should be looking for.

sorry for thread bombing, i know theres other code 43 threads, but unfortunately i need someone to break it down in plain english. idk what rappind an engine is and etc.. thanks again team for the help!!!

btw, like i sid, the cel only turns on when i punch it, or highway it turned on at about 70mph and stayed on for a minute..

 

ok, so disconnected the esc, and there was no change in knocking or pinging. my cel turned on finally, as soon as i reconnected, it went away. but the car is still acting the same. im guessing the esc module went bad??
