Fuse Box Meltdown
Fuse Box Meltdown
Hi all,
This is my first time visiting this forum so if I post in the wrong section or say something stupid please forgive me.
I have an 82 Firebird that I started restoring 10 years ago ( I work pretty slow)
Its almost ready to go but just revisiting some of the earlier issues that I pushed aside for later contemplation.
One such issue if my fuse panel. it looks a little like a fukashima plant, well maybe not that bad but not good just the same.
It had a couple of melted sockets so I just bypassed these and put in some in line fuses.
But now that I think about it I would probably rather have a new (used) fuse panel instead.
Does anyone have a used harness lying around that they could cut a fuse panel from or point me in the right direction.
Thanks and Cheers
Ric

Re: Fuse Box Meltdown
Looks like a fuse blew, and rather than fix the problem just replaced the fuse with a thick piece of wire. Something like this toasted the fuse box instead of the fuse.
A lot of USA wreckers will ship internationally. I'd say a fuse box and international air freight would cost less than $50.

There are some differences in fuse boxes, IIRC, so I'd post a pic of what you need and the year and post an advert in our site's classifieds. I suggest that there are a number of members who would ship overseas.
