Weiand Speed Warrior
Weiand 8501K1 - Weiand Speed Warrior ..... has anyone used this kit in an lg4??? i know exhast, trq converter,gears ect first... if kit like this will work on lg4, all work will be done together. exhaust,gears,trq converter,ect before car goes back on road.. again will this work with the other stuff on lg4?? thanks

"Work" is a relative term.
That's a lot of cam for a 305. If your LG4 is '82-'84, it'll be low compression, and will really hurt with that much overlap. Even with the higher compression '85-'87 LG4s, it'll be a dog below 3500 RPMs. Regardless, though, you're going to have to pull the heads and have them modified to handle that much lift (why they don't include valve springs in the kit is a mystery to me). Port/polish and install 1.94/1.60" valves while you're at it.
You'll also need a vacuum/mechanical advance distributor (unless this is a Canadian-delivered LG4).
Personally, I hate those SA carbs. Put them on a tow vehicle, but not on a performance car. I'd ask them to swap it out for a 650 double pumper (600 for a 305), but I'm sure they'd do the Mexican restaurant thing and say, "No substitutions."
So, having said that, I'd say forget it on a 305. On a 350, maybe.
