Another spark plug question
I've been all through this forum (including a previous post) and can't seem to quite get to the information I need, I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. The recommended plug is Champion RC12YC. From everything I've read on these boards, Champion isn't the way to go so I want to try and find a different brand...and that's where the problem is.
Most everything I can find says to go with AC Delco R45TS, but those are tapered and not gasketed. Not to mention, it seems that the thread reach is different, at least according to the information I can find. The R45S is gasketed, but has a different nut size and thread reach, too.
I found some NGK plugs at Jegs, they are the right thread, reach and gasket but the number (5671A-9) is not showing up on any of the Champion cross-references I can find and I'm not sure about the heat range.
On top of everything else, I'd really like to find a "shorty" plug as I've read that the standard length can interfere with headers.
If someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Another spark plug question
Recheck the champion number, if its rj12yc then ngks you want are r5670-5. Otherwise the ngk number you rattled off will work just double check the thread reach. I believe all ngk are the shorty plugs for headers.
