Neutral idle problems/stalls TPI ..
Anyone with this problem. Iroc 87 TPI 350 (stock).
In drive no problems. With only hot engine, unstable idle and then dies.
No faliures from ECM. Have replaced distributor cap, all wires/plugs,EGR and IAC valve. However it runs the best without EGR in funktion ! Wondering about Lampdasensor ?Anyone with a simmilar prob. ? Not so many Iroc-z in Denmark :-)

Re: Neutral idle problems/stalls TPI ..
sounds like something is breaking down when the engine is hot. You should ohm your injectors when hot, this could be the icm failing as well. As far as you Oxygen sensor I believe you meant too say Lambda sensor inactivity or lazy sensor would tend to fail on a rich bias. You can watch the car going into closed loop in the diagnostic field service mode or use a vom when the engine is warm and off idle to ensure the 02s is up to temperature and watch the mv toggle from high to low. Alot of the exports had odd ecm calibrations and I have heard of ones that do not go into closed loop and do not use a o2s.
