Disconnect the + batt cable. Connect an ammeter in series with it; that is, + lead of the ammeter to the + terminal of the batt, and - lead of the ammeter to the now-disconnected batt cable. This will show you how much current the car is drawing.
Then remove the fuses, one at a time, and see if the draw disappears. Then track down what's being fed by that fuse until you find the offender.
Might want to start with the simple stuff first though... make sure the light in the spare tire well is turned off if you have that, make sure the underhood light shuts off when you close the hood, etc.
If the car has aftermarket stereo, alarm, or other electronic eqpt, that would be another GREAT place to look for hack jobs and mis-wiring.
A car electrical system is one of the simplest parts of a car. Any person of average intelligence should have no problem with it. If an idiot like me can manage it, surely it is within the grasp of virtually anyone else. First thing to do is to put the idea out of your mind that "it's hard" and "I can't do it" and all that, and LEARN about it.

11.89 V
The point is, to measure CURRENT (in essence, flow) THROUGH the system, not VOLTAGE (in essence, pressure) APPLIED to it.
