88 Camaro, Engine Swap problems.
88 Camaro, Engine Swap problems.
Hello,
I have an 88 Camaro that recently had a engine put in it from a 92 Blazer (2.8 v6), the engine we put in it was a carb engine and we swapped it over to a fuel injected. The engine was also a automatic and we swapped it over to a manual.
-Problem-
The car is having sever problems starting. It will start after about 2-3 minutes of, "tapping" the ignition and letting it wind down, but it will not just start right up. Another problem is that the module to spit out the engine code is not functioning, so it is impossible to get the error code out of it. (or so i think)
-Replaced-
Ignition, Ignition coils, Distributor, wires, plugs, battery, fuel filter, fuel injectors (all 6), Alternator, O2 sensor, fuel pressure sensor (also tested fuel pressure), and the MAS.
I am at wits end here, we cannot for the life of us figure out this issue, we thought maybe the PCM might be the issue but are seeking outside help before we get into the final more expensive measures. Any help or insight that you guys can provide will be exceptionally helpful, and much appreciated, thank you.

Re: 88 Camaro, Engine Swap problems.
check that the ECM is getting it's 12v constant power-
you should at least get a code 12 if ECM working like
it should.

Changed the ECM, it has sufficient power, and it's brand new, still no go, still having problems getting it started. Still having to "tap" the ignition for about 10-15 mins to get it running.
