Shift Cable

I kinked the shift cable on the GTA and now it will not go into park. I tried a cheap aftermarket one and the damn thing kinked down at the transmission end. Probably my fault on the installation. Does anyone have a shift cable for the stock shifter and 700R4 transmission I can buy?

Re: Shift Cable

Went thru trying to source a new shift cable last year. Apparently GM discontinued, and the aftermarket ones are all rubbish. At least over there you've got the junkyards.

I went with a Dorman; best of a bad bunch as far as research indicated. Turned up broken so I had to fix the new one anyway

With some redneckery:

My new one was broken up at the shifter end though, different to yours. At least the 'fix' has lasted 6 months now.
