Well I have a 1986 IROC with a 305 in it and its on its last leg and I want to build a 350 or 383 for it, I have a 350 vortec that needs rebuilt, I was going to use the block from it because its a roller and use a forged crank/rods.

What would be the cheepest way to build it without getting junk? I'de like to use a 4340 forged crank....I planned on using a set of dart heads I have with215cc runners with 2.05/1.6 valves, I want a forged bottom end that will hold up to 450 hp and a 150 shot N2O

I have seen some sgi forged cranks on ebay for $395 but it looks like it might be chinese junk to me
