Car: 1990 Firebird

Engine: 5.7L V8

Transmission: Automatic

Axle/Gears: Stock 3.08

engine won't start

I have a 1990 350 tpi that doesnt start untill the battery is almost dead. Once it starts it'll run for a couple of seconds then die out or it'll continue to run run if I give it a little gas. On a full charge it will not start. Any info will be a great help.
