Hey guys, about a week ago I changed the fuel filter, just looked everything over for leaks, then my car wouldn't even run on its own. If I give it constant throttle, it'll stay running, but it feels like it lacks power. Before I changed this, it'd run well but itd often die at idle. This is a 90 305 TBI.

 

So, last time I drove it about 2 miles, and it died about 10 times, and I had to drive with 2 feet. I went to check it out just now, unplugged the map, cranked it, cranked like a champ. Plugged it back up, same thing. Let it idle for at least 15 minutes, ran perfectly, had plenty of power, etc. Then I put in drive to take it just around the yard, it died twice doing that. Any ideas?

 

So I still haven't figured this out. It wouldn't run and I figured out one of the injectors wasn't spraying properly, but I believe that was just because the fuse wasn't seated properly. Itll idle fine in park, but you have to give it gas in drive. Checked all the vacuum lines, triedwith the map unplugged. Nothing changes. Any ideas?

I think my car has the same problem, I have a 1984 pontiac firebird trans and with a 5L v8 engine. before it ran fine (note i have had this car for a month and drove it only a little) but just recently it stalled several times when i tried to get it up on its half foot high platform (stalled when front wheels were on ramp) i disregarded this and yesterday I started it and everything ran fine but now today i tried to start it on numerous occasions and it doesnt go on idle, it shakes alot when I do manage to start it but I have to put my foot on the floor to get it to run (this is in park) I can upload a video to better describe but I dont know what to do. this might be an irrelevent point but before I had to pump the gas to start it if I hadnt started it in a few days.
Any help would be appreciated
