1987 IROC-Z 350 TPI Engine Block Casting Code

Whats up guys? I need a quick favor. Who has a OEM stock 350 TPI block? Im looking for the casting code so that I can buy a new block. Im seriously planning on building a 383. Any help would be appreciated.

I know that there are a lot of engines but there is one inparticular that I have but it has many different features for the very same part number...

Here is the site that I know of.... http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...es.asp?group=6

My current block is the 350 4 bolt main... 14093638 1987-95 350
2/4 Roller or flat tappet cam one-piece rear seal

New from dealer "new" or used block for rebuilding ?

Vortec # 10243880..is probably the most common junkyard equivalent roller cam block you will find these days ( other than your '638 block )
comes in 2 or 4 bolt mains
Look in '96+ trucks and vans

vetteoz!! Good morning. Yeah I'm looking for a used block to revive. So is this block similar as my 683, as in the tapped bolt holes and such? You mentioned vortec as well. I do know vortec heads are very much different than standard heads do to the angle of the bolts, but will my standard intake and AFR 195 heads (1040) bolt up flawlessly?
