pressure hose for aftermarket power steering pump?
I have a tuff stuff power steering pump for old school chevy on my 88 IROC-Z and it has inverted flare fitting and the stock hose is O-ring. Does anyone know of a hose that will work with the stock box and aftermarket pump? I need O-ring for the box and inverted flare for the pump.

For awhile NAPA was making those hoses, come to think of it that was fifteen or twenty years ago. I due believe there is an adapter out there that goes in the box so your hose will work. I don't have the link but with a little searching I think you will find it. Good luck.

Shouldn't be too tough to cut the O-ring end off the line and flare it. As long as there's a long enough straight section behind it to get the new flare nut and flaring tool onto it at the same time.

Re: pressure hose for aftermarket power steering pump?
Could I just cut the o-ring end off and use the stock nut on the hose and flare the line? Or do I have to use a special nut? I thought about trying to get the fitting that screws into the back of the stock IROC pump that the hose screws into and putting it on the aftermarket pump but I'm not sure if the thread size is the same where it screws into the pump. Does anyone know the thread size for the fitting that screws into the back of the stock pump?
