Car: 86 chevy 28 camaro

Engine: 305 tpi

Transmission: 700r4

weird engine problem?

I have a 89 camaro 305 tbi. It starts but wont run right you have to repeatedly pump the pedal to keep it running. The security light is on but i hear if that had something to do with it the car wouldnt start at all? The tbi is clean also. Any help?
