In Tank Fuel Pump on IROC-Z G92 305 TPI 5-Speed

I start the car and drive it around for a bit then when the car is warmed up the engine sputters whether going on a hill or a flat surface. I changed the Fuel Filter today. The car hesitates and runs like it's going to stall but still sputters when driving. The In Tank Fuel Pump has never been changed. Could it be the Fuel Pump? What brand do you recommend? AC Delco, Bosch, Delphi and etc...?

a ep241 is the acdelco fuel pump, the dampener is located on top of the pump. the dampner has been neteorius for leaking and causing a bas seal between the top of the pump and the dampener to steel hardline. You just cut a hose too fit from the pump kit and use hose clamps on each side.

I really appreciate it. I will have to check that out. If it's not that, what else could it be? Ignition Control Module or Box? I have a MSD 6A Ignition Control Unit/Box. Could that be it? It has been heating up than normal.

a lean condition will cause the engine too run hot. you can always throw a fuel pressure gauge on it. The only other thing that comes too mind is restrictive exhaust (plugged cat) causing the engine too really bog down under load.

Would the Oxygen Sensor and PCV cause surging and hesitation during warmup? Also could the Catalytic Converter be plugged up as well? Just sayin...

I would not guess at the problem until you have done some simple checks.
If your planning on keeping the car, buy a factory service manual from HELM INC.
That will answer 99.9% of your questions without us guessing at problems.
